Robert F. Kennedy claimed President Joe Biden is a more significant threat to democracy than his opponent, Donald Trump.
“A moment ago, you said you – you essentially see Trump and Biden as the same,” CNN news anchor Erin Burnet told Kennedy during an interview.
“But do you really believe that when people talk about the threat to democracy that Trump poses—do you really think that it is an equal evil to Biden?” Burnett then asked him.
“Listen, I make the argument that President Biden is a much worse threat to democracy,” he replied. “And the reason for that is President Biden is the first candidate – the first president in history that has used the federal agencies to censor political speech or censor his opponent.”
“You know, I can say that because I just want a case, a federal court of appeals now before the Supreme Court,” Rfk Jr. stated.

A sequel to this year’s Winnie the Pooh slasher movie, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is on the way soon, and it promises to be bigger, bloodier, and (hopefully) better.
Speaking with Variety this week, returning writer/director Rhys Frake-Waterfield talks about the increase in budget for the sequel, and how it will allow for more carnage.
“In comparison to the first film everything’s stepped up massively. It’s a horror film. A lot of the times people are going there for the death scenes and for those elements and we’ve really upped the ante,” Frake-Waterfield explains. “I think the last time I did a count there was over 30 deaths in the movie, which is quite substantial compared to most movies. I think that’s at least over three times what the first film had and there’s various massacres and stuff. So there’s...

Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos again explained his company’s stance on prioritizing streaming-first releases in lieu of conventional theatrical windows. “People keep asking me, ‘Why don’t you do things like everyone else does?'” he said while speaking at Bloomberg Screentime conference in Los Angeles on Thursday. “Then I look at the financial results and say ‘Oh, maybe this isn’t what other people want.”
This is not remotely the first time Netflix has been grilled on this subject. Nor is it the first time Sarandos has defended what is quickly becoming a minority viewpoint within the industry.
Amazon and Apple reportedly plan to invest $1 billion each per year in theatrically-bound feature films. Legacy studios like Disney and Universal have mostly (but not entirely) ceased day-and-date releases or sending theatrically intended movies to streaming platforms. Netflix now mostly stands alone in terms of releasing big-deal movies either sans a...

T-i-double-Guh-Er is about to tear you to S-h-r-e-d-s, as the first images of Tigger in the upcoming sequel, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, have bounced to the internet…and this is one bloodthirsty feline!
While Tigger was missing from the first Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, these new images (courtesy of IGN) promise that his debut in the series will be a nasty one. As producer Scott Jeffrey put it, “Tigger is incredibly violent. He loves to torture his victims before killing them.”
As for what fans of Blood and Honey can expect from the sequel – which will arrive sometime early next year – director Rhys Frake-Waterfield recently told The Hollywood Reporter, Blood and Honey 2 will be “Bigger and Badder. The sequel will feature new creature designs, a new cast, and a high death count. However, this time Pooh and friends will be leaving the 100 Acre Wood to take their fight to the quiet community of Ashdown!

A sequel to this year’s Winnie the Pooh slasher movie, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is on the way and in production now, and IGN shares new imagery today.
The sequel will feature Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, and Owl, we recently learned, and IGN confirms this week that Tigger will also be brought into the mix.
“Tigger is incredibly violent. He loves to torture his victims before killing them,” producer Scott Jeffrey tells IGN, teasing the twisted version of Tigger we’ll meet next year.
IGN also reveals that the reason Tigger wasn’t used in the first movie is because the character wasn’t in the public domain at the time. In 2024, however, he will be.

There is a certain thrill that airplane films provide us with, and this feeling has been epitomized in recent times by “Top Gun: Maverick.” Aviation in films has achieved unimaginable heights, to the point where even the lingo of aviation has become quite familiar to us viewers. We do not need to look up the meaning of the words “Mayday” or “altimeter” every time we hear them. While “On a Wing and a Prayer,” based on a true story, deals with a layman trying to land a private jet, the film is about more than just aviation. Here’s how.
Spoilers Ahead
‘On A Wing And A Prayer’ Plot Synopsis: What Happens In The Film?
In Monroe, Doug White stops believing in God after his younger and very humorous brother Jeffrey passes away from a sudden heart attack. In Connecticut, there is flight instructor, Kari Sorenson, who lost his parents in a plane accident.

The Vampire Diaries and its characters were so appealing and successful that a spinoff of the show only made sense. Between The Originals and The Vampire Diaries, fans of the two shows got a taste for a lot of steamy romances. However, many of the actors had off-screen romances with each other.

While the Nina Dobrev/Ian Somerhalder relationship might be the best known, there’s another couple that was hitched way before they starred in the series.
Who is Michael Malarkey?
Malarkey’s beginnings started on the London stage, where he had lead roles in Spring Storm by Tennessee Williams and an adaptation of The Great Gatsby. He went to school and studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
He got his big break when he landed the role of Lorenzo “Enzo” St. John in the television show The Vampire Diaries.

As reported by the New York Times, on March 8, 2023, prolific B-movie filmmaker Bert I. Gordon passed away at his home in Los Angeles. He was 100 years old.
Bert I. Gordon is a name many may not be familiar with unless they were prone to visiting drive-in theaters in the 1950s, staying up late and watching monster movies on Uhf TV in the 1980s, or were paying attention to "Mystery Science Theater 3000" in the 1990s. Gordon was the director behind such low-budget classics as 1955's "King Dinosaur," 1957's "The Amazing Colossal Man," its sequel from the next year, "War of the Colossal Beast," the 1965 outsized J.D. flick, "Village of the Giants," the 1976 H.G. Wells adaptation, "Food of the Gods," and the 1976 giant ant film "Empire of the Ants." One might note that all the films listed above involve giants of some stripe. One might also want to take note of Bert I.

Over the course of 47 years, “Saturday Night Live” has amassed 94 acting Emmy nominations, 40 of which have gone to series regulars. Nine of these belong to Kate McKinnon, who, since surpassing Kristen Wiig in 2018, has held the record among all “SNL” repertory players for most TV academy notices. The NBC sketch show’s longest-serving female cast member just concluded her 11-season tenure and is now seeking her third Best Comedy Supporting Actress trophy, having bagged her first two in 2016 and 2017. If she succeeds, she will follow Valerie Harper (“The Mary Tyler Moore Show”), Rhea Perlman (“Cheers”), Laurie Metcalf (“Roseanne”) and Doris Roberts (“Everybody Loves Raymond”) as the category’s fifth triple champion.
McKinnon has submitted “Host: Natasha Lyonne,” the 47th season finale, for Emmy consideration. Her swan song performance consists of appearances in the episode’s first and last sketches, with the former constituting the sixth reprisal of her Colleen Rafferty character.

Completing the coveted Egot grants access to one of the most elite clubs in show business. To date, only 16 people have done it. But Lin-Manuel Miranda could soon become the 17th person — and one of the youngest — to join the group, which includes extraordinary talents like Rita Moreno, Mel Brooks, Helen Hayes and Alan Menken.
Miranda has already won three Tony Awards during his fairly young career: one for Best Original Score for the musical “In the Heights,” which opened on Broadway in 2008, and two for the critically acclaimed “Hamilton” (Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score), which opened in 2015 and quickly became a worldwide sensation. He is also the recipient of three Grammys, winning Best Musical Theater Album for both “In the Heights” and “Hamilton,” as well as Best Song Written for Visual Media for penning “How Far I’ll Go” for Disney’s “Moana” (2016).

Will Packer has been named Producer of the 94th Annual Academy Awards, set for March 27.
This will be the first Oscar show to be produced by Packer, a prolific producer of numerous films and TV projects including Straight Outta Compton, Ride Along, Girls Trip, the Think Like a Man films and the television remake of Roots, for which he received an Emmy nomination. But his credits do not include a lot of live TV projects, so taking on the Oscars will be a relatively new experience. His wide-ranging credits in comedy give hope that he also will be creating a fun Academy Awards.
The Academy clearly is looking for fresh ideas and new directions after the pandemic-affected, critically derided and record-low-rated 2021 telecast produced by the trio of Steven Soderbergh, Stacey Sher and Jesse Collins. Of course the ratings collapse of that show, which was delayed to April 25, was not entirely...

Will Packer will produce the 94th Oscars. He takes the reins of the show at a time when the broadcast and those of other awards shows are struggling to remain relevant. Last year’s telecast, which took place in the shadow of the Covid pandemic and at a time when the global box office was a shadow of itself, drew 9.23 million viewers, a 51% drop from the 18.69 million who tuned into the program in 2020. It represented a new low in viewership.
Packer has shown a deft touch identifying and producing projects that are broadly commercial. His credits include “Girls Trip,” “Straight Outta Compton,” and “Ride Along.” His television work includes “That Girl Lay Lay,” “Blackballed,” “Ambitions,” “Bigger,” “Being Mary Jane,” “Uncle Buck” and the remake of “Roots,” for which he received an Emmy nomination. After the success of its Celebration of Black Cinema events for the past three years, the Critics Choice Association said Tuesday it is expanding the series with the inaugural Celebration of Latino Cinema, which will honor icons Rita Moreno, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Demián Bichir along with a group of additional honorees, many associated with upcoming 2021 films, still to be announced.
The new Celebration, to be presented virtually, is set for Thursday December 9, 2021 and aims to put a spotlight on the contributions of great Oscar-winning and -nominated artists like that initial trio, but also Latino filmmaking in general, a facet of the motion picture industry that doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves during awards season. The Emmy nominations were announced Tuesday, and the TV Academy provided historic representation across its acting categories, despite a couple of questionable hiccups.
Jonathan Majors and Jurnee Smollett of the now-canceled “Lovecraft Country” made history as the first two Black leads to be nominated from the same drama series. “Pose” also joins for achieving the same feat with Billy Porter and Mj Rodriguez. It’s also the first piece of visual art to have a Black actor nominated in every eligible acting category, with Michael K. Williams and Aunjanue Ellis also picking up mentions.
Disney Plus’ “Hamilton” now has the second most nominations in the limited series/TV movie acting categories with seven. With the nominations for Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr, Daveed Diggs, Anthony Ramos, Jonathan Groff, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Phillipa Soo, it surpasses “And the Band Played On” (1993), “The Glass Menagerie” (1973) and “The Normal Heart” (2014) that all...

Renée Elise Goldsberry is one step closer to achieving Egot status after earning a supporting actress Emmy nomination in the limited series or TV movie category for her performance in “Hamilton.”
While Peacock’s “Girls5eva,” a fan-favorite, was overlooked by Emmy voters, “Hamilton” picked up 12 nominations. Lin-Manuel Miranda and co-lead Leslie Odom Jr. earned nominations in the lead actor in a limited or anthology series or movie category for their performances as Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, respectively.
Goldsberry already has a Tony Award and Grammy Award in early 2016 for originating the role of Angelica Schuyler on Broadway. The Emmy nominations are for the filmed version of the musical, which is currently available on Disney Plus. The show also collected editing, sound mixing and tech directing nods.
The show is also nominated in the Variety Special category alongside “American Utopia,” “Bo Burnham: Inside,” “The West Wing” and “Friends” reunion specials,...
