Many parents will be wondering whether . . .

. . . this 21st Century treatment of Winnie the Pooh will be as troubling, dangerous or as disrespectful toward its source material as animation covering the same ground from the 1900's. Well, they'll be relieved to know that the answer is "Not quite." Of course, the main reason for GENIUSES being more benign than, say, WINNIE THE POOH AND T-I-G-G-E-R TOO, 1974, is that the latter drags on for 25 minutes, while GENIUSES is over in a much briefer time span of 2:32.61. How much damage can you do in less than three minutes--unless you're old Tom Edison, torturing a beloved pachyderm to death as a pack of spectating jackals get their jollies: ELECTROCUTING AN ELEPHANT, U.
