Anguish (2015)
A brilliant drama
Some people reviewing this movie are so shallow and ignorant.
This is NOT a horror movie, this is a beautifully directed drama, with a slow paced well written narrative. Since when does slow pace means "not good"?
Ryan Simpkins is brilliant in this, in fact, all cast is. It's so well directed and performed.
This is not meant to be a blockbuster and in its genre is a 10/10. Step out of the box for a while, all of you action comics fans. See a movie for what is is, stop comparing them to the status quo of Hollywood. The real cinema isn't there.
Once you give yourself some latitude away from mainstream tendencies, a whole new wonderful world of cinema will be opened to you.
This is art! I will definitely revisit this movie in the future.
The Ritual Killer (2023)
Hauser and Freeman what in the world?
I was hoping for another Se7en like movie, my favorite genre, but man was I wrong... What has come over these three actors to make this crap? Cole Hauser, Morgan Freeman and Peter Stormare? Are they helping out the director or something? Did they enter this out of pity?
7 minutes in and I was thinking "oh boy, this is going to be bad"... It's the vibe it sends from the beginning. The first actors were so bad, but so bad (bedroom scene) I got irritated from the start.
Awful color grading, dull lighting, terrible pace and really bad acting from all of the cast. This director was able to turn good actors into something cringe to watch.
I hate being mean, but this doesn't deserve any better. I don't know if I'll be watching the whole movie, unless I'm multi-tasking. Like I'm doing now.
Barbarian (2022)
Stupid and boring
Although somewhat well acted, this movie is stupid and boring, no story at all, it doesn't even have a plot. Nothing to keep us hooked. The narrative has layers that have no point, and if you watch it waiting for some kind of interesting development, you'll be disappointed.
I'm pretty sure it was filmed in a couple of days. After half an hour I was watching it on the TV while browsing Facebook on my phone.
I wonder what motivated the director to write and make this. It's such a waste of time. If the intention was to make it a cult film, it's a fail. It's a one time watch in a lifetime.
There are so many good horror movies made this year, this falls very short.
Apex (2021)
Couldn't watch more than 40 minutes
This is by far the worst movie I've seen in a while.
How on Earth Bruce Willis entered this is beyond my comprehension. Everything is awful. I mean, everything.
I onde dager (2021)
Now this was great fun!
Excellent original script, beautifully acted and directed and not a single dull moment. European movies are just so much better than Hollywood!
Sometimes all we want is to be entertained.
Midnight Mass (2021)
Perfection
Amazing writing, beautiful dialogues, monologues, excellent acting and directing. I'll be surprised if this doesn't get many awards.
Quicksand (2019)
Watchable, but weak
Excellent performance by Hanna Ardéhn, still, the narrative is quite boring and very weak. And the trial action is quite a stretch in what comes to arguments and consistency.
Disparu à jamais (2021)
Perfect!
Excellent in every way. Brilliant acting, perfectly directed and such a great narrative. I wouldn't change a thing.
The Coldest Game (2019)
Brilliant
This is just a 10/10 in every way. From acting to cinematography.
Girls with Balls (2018)
It's meant to be silly
I'll probably never watch it again, but it was fun for a lazy afternoon.
A Classic Horror Story (2021)
So good! Great screenplay!
Never mind the low ratings. This was good and, above all, unpredictable!
I truly enjoyed it.
Give it a go!
Awake (2021)
Excellent!
Brilliant acting and cinematography!
It also exposes the lunatic religion versus science. Never mind the bitter reviews.
El practicante (2020)
Excellent
I've been binge watching Spanish and Basque thrillers for months and they're all so good. So good!
Mario Casas proving himself to be one of the most brilliants Spanish actors of today.
Mother! (2017)
WTF did I just watch?
This is one f'd up movie! The tension it creates it's incredible. Brilliant acting and directing. Unnerving.
Villains (2019)
Excellent acting!
Excellent direction and brilliant acting by everyone. There are so many small scene details and the way the actors respond to them it's so good. I truly enjoyed this.
Creep 2 (2017)
Horrid, absolute garbage. Reviewers here must be friends of cast and crew.
Absolutely horrid. One of the most boring and idiot movies I've seen. Both the first and the sequel. Oh and the directing, script, the acting... Man... I kicked myself for seeing these.
Oxygène (2021)
Mélanie is great, movie is stupid
I love Mélanie and her performance is excellent. However, this movie is annoying and insulting to the viewer. It could very much have been a 20m short story.
We're insulted all the way through until the very last two minutes of the movie.
I just watched it between browsing Facebook, listening to Gary Moore on YouTube and drinking a bottle of a fine red Portuguese wine.
October Faction (2020)
Brilliant
I delayed watching this due to the not so great reviews. Except from the obvious LGTB agenda, it's such a good series. Episode 8 was the best.
Ond tro (2010)
Very good, requires patience.
Thank you, Netflix, for showing this gem that has been virtually unknown for 1 years!
Dérapages (2020)
Great but disturbing
This disturbed me more than what I would have expected. I binged watch the whole series. Eric delivers a very tense performance. I was in his shoes from the beginning which I didn't want to be.
Chambers (2019)
Excellent, except for 30m
Never mind the low reviews!
This was truly a great series. I binge watched it. I can even forgive that ridiculously poor low quality from the first half hour of the last episode. It was visually horrid, from camera effects to the set used, totally in contrast with the other episodes. What were they thinking?
The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez (2020)
Heartbreaking
I just watched the whole episodes in a row, with a broken heart.
I have to rate the series 10/10 because, frankly, there's nothing I would change about the way this documentary was made.
Surviving Death (2021)
Skip the Dutch fraud
This is a very well written and produced documentary, with very credible scientific testemonials and what appear to be good, honest people. Except from that FRAUD on episode 3 which is just a shameless fraud, prying and exploiting people's vulnerabilities. And what a bad ventriloquist she is. Quite ridiculous.
If the show aimed at validating these phenomena including that ridiculous part was bad. Too bad.
Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer (2021)
Really good documentary
Excellent editing and fluid narration.

It's such a shame it doesn't have an episode dedicated to the actual killer, where the viewer could have an insight on his mind. Those tapes recorded by the writer must be so interesting.
Inside the Criminal Mind (2017)
Interesting and educational
I don't get the extreme low reviews on this. I always check IMDB scores and reviews before watching anything. I usually consider the public's score and refrain from wasting my time on shows that aren't worth it for the majority.
On this case, I'm glad I ignored them.
The invited certified specialists commenting along each case provide excellent clear info and scientific insight in order for the curious viewers understanding of what goes on inside the criminal mind. It's not awesome, but it's worth the watch.
