Mosul (2019)
Raw and Heartfelt
This movie is a mix of the ugly truth and the glimpses of hope in life and war. The series of events in dedication to the final stand in Mosul are strategically executed and pull at the audience's heart strings, including mine.
The actors did a brilliant job portraying the SWAT unit as more than just a military machine but also a family dedicated to their cause. The Major being a father figure to each of the members which have their own unique personalities that casts a charm throughout the film.
The storytelling of how Kawa slowly but steadily realizes the real reason as to why they fight, the way that it's more than just revenge but also to protect the living who are left behind is absolutely well done.
They needn't say more with how things wrapped up and ended, it was a tragedy and the movie did justice into crafting a narrative in an otherwise messy sequence of war.
Dead Mount Death Play (2023)
Mysterious, hilarious and wholesome
The mystery keeps me on my toes as we follow the cast of characters who are sweet, batshit crazy or both in their respective rights. It's a city where connections run deep and one of the most satisfying thing is to watch them unfold and realizing that the odd thing you saw earlier is actually a huge part of the plot.
The humor absolutely gets me everytime, with the characters just being themselves. They have interesting personalities that I can't help but adore! I'm excited for them to explore their stories in season 2
This Anime is an awesome mix of fantasy and modern world. A place where assassins, detectives, a powerful family and people who've transcend human capabilities are ready to play.
