Heroes (2006)
Terrific first season and the rest you can skip
The first season is terrific I would rate it like a 9.5 out of 10. Some people dislike the ending of season one but I thought it made complete sense and kind of loved it. Originally they planned to have a new group of people each season and tell a new story; however, the first season was such a hit the network wanted the fan favorites back again. Huge mistake. The story didn't have anywhere natural to continue to and you feel it being stretched. Finding ways to keep the characters from over coming things with powers they now know how to use. The second season is bad (maybe a 5 out of 10) and each season gets worse than the one for it. Watch season one and stop there.
Tusk (2014)
This movie is mostly bad
This is a pretty bad movie. Michael Parks is terrific though and I actually very much enjoyed when he was on screen for the most part (one terrible scene though I chalk that up to writing). Most of the rest of the cast is ok; however, Johnny Depp is very annoying in this. The plot is not very good and often doesn't pass a logic test. The ending is particularly dumb. Visually the movie doesn't offer anything interesting. Don't bother sticking around for the post credit sequence is stupid. I've seen worse movies and I would say the only real reason to watch this movie is Michael Parks if you don't like him don't both with this.
Moonstruck (1987)
Does not live up to the hype
It's not really a good movie. It's a romantic comedy that isn't romantic or funny. Most of the characters are flat and not too interesting especially the main leads. People 'fall in love' after just a few days of knowing each other.
The Out-of-Towners (1999)
NOT GOOD
This is a bad movie. I laughed at a few jokes. The actors performed fine. But the script and jokes were not good. Also, why where Steve Martian's pants so oversized?
Star Trek: Discovery: Su'Kal (2020)
One of the worst episodes of any Star Trek series.
Discovery is far from my favorite Trek series, but I do seem to give it more of a pass than many Trek fans. However, this episode is one of the worst. The explanation for "the Burn" is mind numbingly stupid. While the happenings on the Discovery are also extremely stupid. Just not good.
Hannah Gadsby: Nanette (2018)
It's not funny, and Hannah is kind of annoying in terms of delivery
For a "comedy" special this just doesn't have a lot of jokes. Making matters worse Hannah frequently laughs/giggles at things she says often things that no one including the audience really laugh at. The most humorous moment (unintentionally) is when Hannah explains what a joke is when all the evidence in this special suggest she struggles to make jokes. Then about 60% through it turns into a lecture. What she says isn't unimportant but it isn't funny. This is not a comedy special. It's not especially entertaining even if there are some important truths. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Also, she says that "there is nothing stronger than a broken woman who rebuilt herself" that's just factually untrue. steel for starters.
Ghostbusters (2016)
A comedy should be funny.
A comedy should be funny this is not funny thus it's a failure from the outset. It doesn't ruin the original or anything hyperbolic like that. But the fact that it's a different take on an all time classic comedy just emphases how much it falls short of being funny or even entertaining.
