Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes and Huntsmen Part One (2023)
It's pretty good actually
I had no knowledge of RWBY, only in DC, so I went in relatively blind. I didn't expect any deep storytelling, themes etc.. Just a fun time. And that's what I got.
I liked most of the different character interactions (in particular Jess and Jaune), the action scenes were great, and the mystery for how the Justice League seemingly arrived at Remnant was handled really well.
I also really liked most of the new designs for the Justice League members to make them fit in the RWBY world. Giving Batman batwings seemed as an odd choice, but it worked.
The movie ends with bit of a cliffhanger (its called Part One.. duh), but I'm definitely looking forward to Part Two.
Catwoman: Hunted (2022)
I had a good time
I think it's a very good movie. Story is solid, nothing too deep. Good action. Good humor. Good animation. The banter between Selina and Kate is really entertaining. The villains are meh... Still, I would recommend it.
I hope it gets a sequel.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017)
"Country roads, take me home, to the place I belong, West Virginia, mountain momma, take me home, country roads"
Awesome movie with some fun American caricatures. The action scenes were great, the humor were great, the performances, especially from Colin Firth and Taron Egerton, were great. In contrast to Samuel L Jackson, I found Julienne Moore's villain Poppy downright terrifying. Kingsman Golden Circle is very fast-paced, and packed with action. The movie takes itself far from serious, and the overall tone of the movie, especially the action scenes, was very cartoonish and fun. A not very deep movie, nor should it be.
Star Trek Beyond (2016)
The Enterprise is attacked by a new enemy. When the crew is captured, Kirk and Spock must save them, as well as defeating a new enemy.
I loved this movie. It didn't blow me away like Into Darkness did, but it is still a great movie. The giant battle between the Enterprise and the swarm during the first half hour, as well as the big finale, were both awesome and the highlights of the movie. The general concept of a swarm of small battle ships rather than a big one, makes a lot more sense. And the way they defeated them was fun. The special effects were great, the performances were great, I liked the new character Jaylah, and the villains were good enough, I understood their motivations. However, somewhere in the middle the movie slowed a bit down. I understand if people find the movie a bit episodic, but I think the hate is unjustified. I feel that reviewers who gives this less than 5/10 are extremely biased trekkie fans.
