McCallum (1995)
Cancelled far too soon
What a shame this series was cancelled after just two short seasons. While the US seems to run good television series into the ground long after they should have been cancelled, the British seem to do the opposite. I really would have liked to see a third series at the very least.
The story lines were inventive, edgy and gripping. The acting excellent. The characters believable and I was always left looking forward to the next episodes.
From what I read on the net when my curiosity about why it was cancelled took me to Google, I'm not the only one who is disappointed by the cancellation after only nine episodes. But I've yet to find an answer to my question: Why was it cancelled?
Nero a metà (2018)
Great storyline let down by predictable sub-plots
My wife and I enjoyed the storyline, the settings, the characters and acting, the scenery and the suspense generated by the main plot. What let the series down in our opinions were the subplots (eg: the different murders). The outcomes were achingly predictable. We just finished the first season last night but Netflix hasn't offered us the second series so I guess it's another Netflix letdown. I wish they'd stop this irritating habit leaving a show unfinished when there is another series.
Requiem (2018)
Great series but tired of Netflix failing to follow-up
My wife and I were hooked from the beginning, watch until the end and thoroughly enjoyed it. But we're starting to lose patience with Netflix and its irritating habit of showing a great series and not following it up with another. Vikings is an example. Netflix stopped in the middle of the last series while other providers carried on. We're starting to wonder why we bother to watch any series on Netflix when it's so lax.
