This is truly a Vitagraph comedy with John Bunny and Flora Finch in the leading roles. Mr. Bunny, Mayor of Smithtown, gets a shock on reading of the attempted assassination of the Mayor of New York. To escape the supposed assassin he gets himself into the dumb-waiter, where many laughable complications eventuate. - The Moving Picture World, August 22, 1914
