The first 4 or 5 seasons are wonderful with a great mix of silly humor and drama (including some very heart-wrenching stuff). 6-7 aren't as good but are still enjoyable. Season 8 is very good though not on the level of the early seasons. Season 9 was not included in my DVD purchase so I can't comment.
