Review of Annie Laurie

SPOILERS: The body of a kinsman is dumped at the door step of (the great) Hobart Bosworth, head of the warring MacDonald clan. The vengeance-seeking MacDonalds raid the lair of their enemies, the Campbells, capturing Avery, who proceeds to capture the heart of her captor, Striker. Kerry falls in love with Gish, daughter of peace-seeking governor, Torrence, who persuades the MacDonalds to house some of Campbells troops on their land. The treacherous Campbells attempt to sabotage the defenses of the MacDonalds, but Gish helps her man overcome them. Clam warfare in Scotland is the subject of this big MGM production. THREE STARS!
