Review of The Bribe

The Bribe (1949)
One of Laughton's lesser known gems.

Lets face it, most of this movie stinks. But its worth watching just to see Charles Laughton ACTING. For any would be aspiring actors, his role is inspirational. And the best part of the movie is when he takes out X-rays as they were called then of his feet and shows them to Robert Taylor. The scene and dialog requires a great actor to make the scene plausible in an unplausible movie.
