Review of Trading Places

I'd heard many times that this was a great comedy, so I checked it out.

It was shockingly unamusing. I laughed for the first time about an hour into the film. I can't remember the joke, and I don't know if I laughed again. The whole thing became irritatingly predictable and facile.
