La scuola (1995)

Years that don't come back.

Perfect little italian movie. Lucchetti talks about (italian) school better than it's possible. This movie is nostalgic, melancholic, very funny, very poetic and perfectly orchestred. But the real good things of the movie is that it is absolutely REAL in all its parts. Every student in the last 20 years (especially italian student) can't find excellent the work of Lucchetti. The direction is quite good, script and dialogues are wonderful, but a special mention goes to the actors and to who makes the cast: Silvio Orlando is at his best in a role, the neapolitan teacher of italian literature, funny, very sensible and friend of the students. A role that seems to be written for him. Fabrizio Bentivoglio (probably the best living italian actor) gives another great performance transforming himself in a strong maths teacher, but all the actors, teacher and students are perfect in their roles. A little jewel that deserves 8.
