How sad to see a friend pass on. Especially if that friend meant so much to you that they practically saved your life. To most other people who drive by hundreds of trees each day, going to work or picking up their children, they don't give those trees a second thought. To her, her tree was her world. How wonderful that someone who felt so alone could find such beauty, companionship and love from one tree. How easily we buy trees each Christmas just to discard them after the season passes. The only concern being, when will the garbage men cart it away from "our" habitat. Perhaps that's why I bought a good strong fake tree when I needed one for my home.
