Not good enough...
9 October 1999
The movie, retelling William Shakespeare's original comedy, is a journey through magic and adventure. The exceptional use of costumes, makeup and other effects, such as glimmering fairies and disappearing shadows, enhances the movie experience, and takes us into the Shakespearean world. Most of the story takes place in great settings, perfectly directed to fit the plot.

There is nothing negative to say about the performance of the actors either.

Setting all these positive features aside, I still feel somewhat disappointed as the film fails to deliver the desired effect. Making such a famous play into a movie is very demanding, and the director has done a fabolous job with all the little details. However, looking at "the big picture", it was not good enough.
