Down to Earth (2001)

How could you not find this movie funny?!
19 February 2001
First of all, this movie was very funny. I am a big fan of Chris Rock, and I think that even though he couldn't swear like he does during his stand up, he was still really funny. The whole audience was laughing from the first scene to the last scene, and even leaving the theater. One thing about this movie is that even if you don't think Chris Rock is that funny, you can't help but laugh at this movie. There were no points in the movie that were stale or boring.

It's so funny to read the other reviews that people write. I think they are trying to write some scientific breakdown thesis to make them seem highly intelligent or above others in movie maturity. Sorry, but your not. Some people just write lengthy put-down reviews about good movies because otherwise they would have nothing worth reading. Who cares if the story is a remake of some old movie from back in the day. That alone doesn't make it funny or unfunny compared to the original. Sorry, but Siskel & Ebert are not hiring interns. If you want to see a funny movie with a date, by yourself, with your kids (10 or older), with your parents, or with your friend, this is the movie to see. Don't waste your time with Saving Silverman. Ultimate disappointment.

To the other reviewers, don't hate - congratulate!
