Review of Tempted

Tempted (2001)
10/10
Noir at its greatest
7 May 2003
You will not be disappointed with TEMPTED. It is a thoroughly entertaining exploration into the seedy world of dark characters whose only purpose in life seems to be to cross the line and just keep going.

Burt Reynolds is great as the man suspicious of his wife. Saffron Burrows is perfect as his wife being 'tempted'. And Peter Facinelli is a breakthrough as the young builder enlisted to test his wife's fidelity.

The film is suspenseful at every plot turn and twist as the 'test' gets out of hand and our characters are driven closer and closer to the edge. What really makes this film memorable is the way the filmmakers convey the feel of New Orleans. I've never been to the States but when I left the cinema after watching this film I honestly thought I had.
