A very good documentary of the ministry of Christ
19 December 2004
This is a documentary told with paintings of Jesus Christ and footage of the modern appearance of ancient sites related to the ministry of Jesus Christ. His life is told from a sacred perspective. The film was made by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It is a very good little film and very inspiring to those who accept the divinity of the man called Jesus of Nazareth.

By using famous paintings of Christ (many by Harry Anderson) the film avoids the pitfalls sometimes encountered by casting an actor to play a role of Jesus Christ. When actors are cast they are generally criticized for either being too human or too divine. This is avoided in this film by use of famous artistic images. The narrative is superimposed over paintings much as Ken Burns did with stills in his Civil War series.
