This is the only one of the Creature Features that comes close to being a decent movie. The dark, moist atmosphere of the ship proves to be a good setting for this movie where everybody is hiding something. Carla Gugino and Rufus Sewell are good, but I was the most impressed by Rya Kihilstedt. She has a tough part. She doesn't speak, she is topless, and she is almost always submerged in water. But her eyes, every time I catch this on TV, her eyes seem so hypnotic. She really seems innocent. Unfortunately, the story and not so special effects ruin the movie in the last act. It turns into one of those lets kill everyone as fast as possible movies.
