I have been looking for this movie for years. I went to Block Buster Video to see if I could have it ordered to no avail. Anyway, this was the black version of Cinderella and it took place in Harlem. It was a musical and it was truly a great cast. Nell Carter played one of the evil step sisters and Clifton Davis played Cindy's prince (a military man). The movie came on PBS and it was the first movie that I could totally relate to because it was an all black cast. They sang, danced and they even jumped double dutch. I also remember that Cindy's dad was a men's room attendant at a big hotel and he lied about his job. I absolutely loved this movie and would love to get a copy of it. Excellent movie!
