Star Knight (1985)

Wonderfully crappy

Warning: Spoilers
I bought this movie for very little and I must say, any B-rate sci-fi movie fan would get a kick out of this. The idea is a solid one: a space-faring explorer comes to medieval Earth on a survey mission and falls in love with a princess. The one who wants to claim her love (and become a knight and heir to the throne) is like Ash from "Army of Darkness" in that he never gives up, but he really has no idea what is going on. The music score is lame, the acting sub-par (even Keitel), the plot weak, and the special effects very poorly done. However, the movie almost has a tongue-in-cheek feel to it.

MST3K fans can make good use of this film for a "MST3K party". Sitting around, heckling this film with your buddies while drinking beer and eating nachos would make a fantastic night.

Caution: don't pay more than $8 for this, as you may feel very ripped off, even if you have the MST3K party.
