Absolutely incredible TV-series, unfortunately abandoned too soon because of political and moral reasons. A regard without complaisance and so right about American society, based on the cult of... profit and dollar-king ! Beside Jim Profit, J.R. Ewing is a priest asking for money at the church. Almost all of the characters are full out of morality. They don't care about the "collateral damages" they do, their only preoccupation, their only goal is the race to power and money. Incest, drug and sex addiction, parricide, betrayal are the digest of that jewel. And perhaps also Jim Profit search what he never had : A family to love and to be loved by.
