Jesse James girlfriend meets Frankenstein's Daughter
31 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This was part of a double feature on TCM that Tivo'd to watch at a later date. How could I resist looking at a movie with such a title? Dracula meets Billy the kid was the first half of the double feature. How can I get over the shock. First I want to mention the actress who played Daughter Frankenstein played the part like she was having a ball. She was pretty good. And the Estelita Rodriguez was very good as James love interest. The women parts in the movie were clearly the ones in charge. Estalita certainly took charge in the end.

Not to give too much away, only to say when Jesse James was given a knock out drug by Daughter Frankenstein I could not tell the difference. He does absolutely nothing in this movie. Heck he can't even get a stage coach robbery right. Which brings him and his Mongo type sidekick to the Frankensteins. The big galoot gets hurt and he needs to see a doc. In the beginning in the movie we hear that the doc wants a big strong man to experiment on, well as soon as I saw him I knew he was a goner.

If anyone is looking for a action movie with Jesse James going against daughter Frankenstein forget about it. Like the title states he meets Frankensteins daughter and that is about it. We have a little interaction when she tries to seduce him but he only has eyes for the Estralita character. She gets jealous and tricks him into doing something but that is about it. He gets wise and gets knocked out as soon as he gets wise.

Meanwhile James girlfriend over hears every thing the daughter is doing and starts the ball rolling. The daughter has already turned his sidekick into a monster and she decides to change his name to Igor, he does most of the dirty work. Jim Davis is the sheriff and he has nothing much to do either but get knocked out along with James. If it wasn't for the girlfriend Frankensteins daughter would still be fawning over the lightning storms and half of the west would be decimated. On a sad note Estralita Rodriguez died the same year the movie was released. She was a very pleasant actress and I was dismayed to find out she had passed so early.
