Who booby traps a dead end? That's just not right - And season 4 brings us another utterly brilliant episode. I remember when I watched this episode on TV, I was pretty much sighing throughout the episode and saying 'what the hell is going on? Cheesy much?' everything seemed to go well, 'Wesley' apologized to 'Angel', 'Angel' finally got the girl and 'Connor' was acting like the son-of-the-year and helped 'Angel' kill 'The Beast' with a sword. It felt completely out of character. But oh boy, was I surprised when I found out it was all 'Angel's perfect-illusion to give him perfect happiness and turn him into 'Angelus'. I think I stared at the TV screen for about 10 minutes after the episode ended, I mean, how many people can say that they totally saw the ending coming? What makes this episode so amazing is really the SHOCK at the end, because most of this episode was a big cheesy-roller-coaster but I think that it's exactly how the writers wanted it to be, to make the audience say 'man, this is just getting too easy' and then the shock at the end. Absolutely fantastic episode with a killer ending that brings the long-waited 'Angelus' back to the show. CONNOR: Everything's going to hell because of you. You're the reason that the sun is gone, that I don't have a home to go back to. You're the reason that she... It's you. You're the reason my life sucks. ANGEL: Get over it. (9.5 out of 10)
