He doesn't like Smokey Robinson and the Miracles? I thought you said this kid had a soul - The follow up of 'Lullaby' is not the greatest follow up of the series, but still has plenty to go around to keep it memorable. What, for me, kind of hurt the episode was the lame plot twist and 'Angel' running away from the demons, the episode felt rushed and poorly written by then. But still, like I said, plenty to go around, I loved 'Angel' trying to protect his baby boy, changing his diapers on 'Wesley's desk, trying to make the baby stop crying by vamping out and the great scene with 'Cordelia' when he says that he would give his life for the baby - If he has to get to the hospital at noon on the sunniest day of the year, he'll get there even if I don't. I also loved the introduction of 'Justine', I love her twisted relationship with 'Hotlz' and their strange, but strong and morbid chemistry - What are we talking about. Some kind of Karate Kid Mr. Miyagi groove thing? Wax on, wax off. The funniest scene of the episode was probably when 'Cordy' asked if 'Angel' was planning on circumcising the baby and it starts to cry, that always cracks me up. 'Lilah' was also great as usual, I like her childish fights with 'Gavin' and the scenes with that strange files record lady. The episode ends up quite happy which is not something that happens often on 'Angel', he names his baby boy 'Connor' and walks out of the hospital with his gang as some sort of family. I like the name 'Fred' gave him, 'Geraldo Angel'. GUNN: What are you doing? WESLEY: Trying to imagine myself as John Wayne in Rio Bravo. You? GUNN:Austin Stoker, Assault on Precinct Thirteen. CORDELIA: If we live through this, trade in your DVD Players and get a life. (7.5 out of 10)
