I downloaded ZIM from iTunes while I was snagging a bunch of other stuff, thinking it would be a light laugh.

Beyond GIR the robot, ZIM is really for Teens and Up. And by Up, I mean past 30. Only an Adult can laugh at the way the other adults in this cartoon are behaving. 'Miss Bitters' hits you where only an Adult remembering First Grade can be hit.
"Oh you poor doomed child!" She says, and us older people just nod in Knowledgeable sympathy and wipe the tears of hilarity from our eyes. Listen and attempt to catch the tidbits and satirical sideswipes at American Culture when you're not screaming along with ZIM.
