Review of The Blob

i didn't find this movie to be anything spectacular.i didn't find it scary,but it was gross.i also didn't feel the creature effects were very realistic.the acting wasn't outstanding,although i do like Shawnee Smith.really i just felt the whole thing looked way too low budget and cheesy.i can't compare it to the 1950's era original,but as a standalone film,it doesn't really make the grade.also,i never really invested any emotion in the movie,so i didn't really care about most of the characters.the movie was directed by Chuck Russel,who i also think directed a much better movie called the mask,with Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz in 1994.as for the blob,i found it just uninteresting and even boring.i give the Blob a 4/10
