At first you'll say "the video games are better than this turkey; BUT on the way home, you'll say "Diary of the Dead is a minor classic"

Diary of the Dead is a statement like the rest of Romero's Zombie films; technology has made us into the living dead. Just as consumerism made us the living dead in Dawn of the Dead and humanity being unhappy with itself made the zombies chief alternative in Day of the dead . . . Land of the Dead is Romero's "ignoring the problem" treatise. A funny thing in Diary of the Dead is when the General played by Romero appears on mass-communicated news saying there's a problem with immigration alright: the Dead are illegally immigrating across the border of Life. you have to really see that one. And Romero is getting up there in age he's a grandfather, this is an entirely new generation of folks Romero's trying to get the message across to. We're in front of computers 6 or 7 hours a day sometimes downloading and uploading so much we are the living dead. Diary of the Dead is a TOTAL "way-hoomer" you get it on the way home--the drive back to your house with your computer of Living Death. I'm going to take a walk in the sun right now come to think of it and leave my computer alone for the rest of the day. Stay Scared, Brother George A. Romero! Always.
