Jackass Number Two was a great sequel with bigger and funnier stunts and pranks than the first movie, but the makers ended up making enough material for two movies. Basically, this straight-to-DVD release is all the unused material from the second movie, featuring the American performers filming each other, sometimes with hidden camera, performing stunts and pranks on each other and on the public, just like in the TV show. The stunts involve being injured or doing disgusting things with almost no thought for health and safety, and the pranks are hilarious to see play out either on the performers or on the public for their reactions. Starring Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Ryan Dunn, Ehren McGhehey, Preston Lacy, Jason "Wee Man" Acuña and Dave England, with appearances from director Jeff Tremaine, Bam's parents Phil and April Margera, Spike Jonze (director of Being John Malkovich and Her), Rick Kosick, Manny Puig, Brandon DiCamillo, Mat Hoffman, Dimitry Elyashkevich, Rake Yohn, Luke Wilson (Owen's brother), and Mike Judge (Beavis and Butthead, and King of the Hill). The film also includes behind-the-scenes interviews from the cast and crew about the material. The highlights in the film are the opening with Knoxville dressed like General Patton and the others in their underwear with army helmets and tops, Beauty and the Beast (a King Kong parody), Meatball Slingshot, Dizzy Boxing, Butt Bead Ass Kite, El Matador, Firework Bazooka, The Crab Clamp, Bin Lid Wake Up, The Water Gun, Inflatable Raft, Human Golf Tee (Wee Man and Pontius standing on the golf course getting hit by golf balls), Prostate Exam, Rattlesnake Salad Toss, Snapping Turtle Bite, The Aghoris (fearless Indian tribe), Miller Time with Shridhar Chillal (Guinness World Record holder for longest fingernails), The Bed of Nails with Snakes, REACT Bullet (Radiated Energy Air-Cushioned Trajectile), Cajun Obstacle Course, The Test Drive, The Deconstruction Site, Margera urinating in a cup and getting it thrown onto his face by Elyashkevich in front of April, Mini Motorcycle Mayhem, The Poof, and The Butt Bellows. The performers deliberately doing things to hurt themselves and each other, often crashing into things, along with some disgusting things that cause vomiting, is cringing and looks painful and dangerous, and should not be tried at home. You cannot help but laugh at it, because the performers all have a great sense of humour, and there are some genuinely ingenious pranks on the public, for adults only. The only problem is that most of the material removed from Number Two focuses on the more gross stuff, the stuff that failed to work well enough, or just isn't as funny as it should be, and the interviews are a bit pointless, an unfortunately disappointing reality slapstick comedy. Adequate!
