Four of my nieces were spending the night at my house on the day this movie came out. I put my younger kids to sleep, and my nieces were all 'gaga' over the new Disney Channel movie. I sat down with them and watched it. The nieces that had spent the night are 5, 7, 13, and 15, and they really enjoyed this movie. I'll admit, I enjoyed it somewhat, too, and I'm 24. The way the kids sang was brilliant, and that little curly haired boy, Nate, blew me away with his voice. My nieces were ecstatic, and they loved the movie. Kids will enjoy this movie if they're into pop and pop rock music, that's a given. Some of the lines were unbelievable, such as instant mood changes with the lead, Shane. Personally, this is one of Disney's better music based movies. It had a more realistic feel to it, and people didn't just burst into random spontaneous singing. It's a good movie, but it's far from excellent. All movies could have improvements, and I will say that my nieces and I will be watching the second one when it comes out.
