Well, I perfectly know you don't have to expect much from Paul Landres. It will always remain for movie lovers a grade B director.

But let's face the fact that he had tiny budgets to make his films. And this one is rather nicely done. Nothing unusual in this story of an ex confederate who returns home after the civil war and who have to fight against his own brother, who became a sort of renegade sheriff. The town's marshal. With his own rules...

You can watch this with no boredom. And I was lucky enough to get it in Letterbox frame. That's unusual. Because Regal Films movies, as well as API ones, were always released through Twentieth Century Fox corporation in F...Pan and Scan!!!

So, I have no right to complain about this rare little western. An oater, yes, but a pretty good B western.
