Review of Sleepers

Sanctuary: Sleepers (2009)
Season 2, Episode 10
Teslas return, finally
24 December 2009
Long we had to wait for Nicola Tesla's return, the not-so-bad arrogant Englishman (note that Tesla was originally Serbian) and superior Vampire. Now he's back with a terrible result of his scientific experiments: He runs an expensive hospital for drug-addicted wealthy youngsters which he heals with his new formula within a week or two ! Only problem: The formula changes every former patient after death into a perfect and powerful vampire like Tesla himself. Tesla, however a genius he is, did not think that one of his clients could decease soon, but one dies and finds himself living as a vampire... And after the vampires were the ruling race before their extinction, he contacts some of his former mates from Teslas clinic, and kills them instantly to team up with them for ruling the world again.

Now, this was a funny story after some very unimaginative episodes, and although the authenticity is decreasing after a while to the simple "how can we stop them", the authors gave Tesla enough room to satisfy his fans (I'm one of them), which means he has his lines, can be arrogant like Prince Charles and so on. There are also two surprises at the end, which I won't spoil here. All in all, one of the best episodes of this season until now (Dec.'09), which shows us how a show depends on good actors and characters, and - humor.
