The violent turn that Dexter's relationship with Miguel took was totally unexpected. Everyone was asking right at the beginning or the season what on earth was happening in the show, how is dexter turning into a father, friend and husband so quickly...the same man who killed his own brother in a breathtaking scene in season one, and was willing to sacrifice the life of an innocent police sergeant to bail his own ass out in season two??
This episode surely put the whole show back on track, and in as gruesome and as cold blooded as it can get, the way we we're all used to seeing dexter deal with problems: on a table with his problem wrapped in plastic sheets....not in golf games and family funerals. (doubt i will ever question the writers again!) Great episode, best of the season.
