The Divine Michelangelo (2004 TV Movie)
7/10
A Driven Man
28 February 2010
Slightly too flashy and snippy when the historical framework and Michelangelo's characteristics are concerned, this highly entertaining documentary succeeds best in revealing the hardships and setbacks that great Renaissance artist had to endure while creating some of the world's most famous works of art.

The process of hard artistic labour is well presented whereas the dramatized scenes prove to be rather lame just as it is the case with all those loutish soliloquies.

But still two compelling and informative hours.
