Even though made in this decade it maintains the wit of the early cartoons
2 July 2010
As a fan of the early Looney Tunes cartoons, I enjoyed Duck Dodgers in Attack of the Drones. It isn't as good as any of Daffy Duck's best work, but it is certainly worth seeing. While told a little too fast, it does have an interesting story and is fun to watch.

The animation is surprisingly good, the galactic backgrounds are stunning and the visual ideas are original and wondrous. The music is above decent too, and there are some cracking dialogue and visual gags. Daffy is wonderful here, while Porky is good while not having as much to do. Jeff Bennett and Billy West give excellent vocal performances, Mel Blanc I feel is better as he immortalised those early cartoons pretty much single-handedly, but both do great jobs with the wit of their characters and dialogue.

Overall, surprisingly entertaining, fun and actually makes an effort to stick true to the spirit of the originals. 9/10 Bethany Cox
