Süpermenler (1979)

Strictly kid's stuff

Apparently the "3 Fantastic Supermen" series, which began in 1967, lasted for nearly 20 years, and the actors playing the 3 title roles often changed from film to film. In this one, Nick Jordan, who played the mute Superman who's always making annoying noises 12 years earlier, is now a different Superman; series regular Sal Borgese is the mute one; and prolific Turkish star Cüneyt Arkin is the FBI agent who also dons the cape occasionally. The number of action scenes is relatively decreased, probably because none of the stars were getting any younger; you can't expect Jordan to flip and roll virtually the whole time like he did in 1967. Kids will probably still be amused by the totally unsophisticated slapstick comedy and the Supermen's gravity-defying abilities; adults will only tolerate this movie if they are in the proper mood. One element everyone can enjoy is the silly but catchy music score. ** out of 4.
