No Mercy (2010)
10/10
Harsh & touching.

Warning: Spoilers
I had low expectations towards this Korean Thriller. Although it's not too violent or graphic(except for an autopsy) this Thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat mainly because it touches sensitive fibers inside you.

The main plot suggests a serial killer on the loose who is captured by a young and cute female detective with the aid of Dr. Kang who is considered as Korea's finest forensic Dr.

But things aren't as easy as they seem. Behind this capture, there's a history of revenge, a rape trial, social manifestations, and more.

After the capture of the killer, Dr. Kang is kidnapped. In order to save her life, Dr. Kang needs to demonstrate that the accused is innocent although the evidence shows that he is guilty. There's no escape for him. Is it? The acting is fantastic. I haven't seen a better cast on any Asian Thriller. Here the actors show passion, rage, tenderness, innocence, bravery, and more. In the likes of "Se7en" (1995), the killer has the control of the situation and although it may sound harsh, maybe he is right about some situations.

Believe me, this film will make you feel sad, reflexive, maybe angry. That's why is so great. The ending is probably one of the most shocking and moving I have seen in recent years.

Excellent Thriller with dramatic tones. Great acting, perfect direction, and better resolution.

A future classic on it's own. Think about "Se7en" meets "Silence of the Lambs" but with a deeper message...
