The biggest mystery is how this catastrophe of a film ended up with a halfway decent cast. Why on earth did the likes of Brian Austin Green and Michael Clarke Duncan sign up for this? There is absolutely nothing here for them. No story, no characters, not even one good line.
This is all wannabe stuff. The plot is wannabe comic book mythology, the dialogue and direction are wannabe Tarantino. The result is a failure all the way. This is so bad it's not even funny anymore.
I can only conclude that the director has no real friends, because a real friend would have stopped him from wasting a year (or was it just a week?) of his life on this.
