At the same time, Jonathan is summoned to a lawyer Farelli's office who proceeds to tell him about an inheritance of about twenty million dollars left by his absent father, who went to America after abandoning his French family. This take Jonathan by surprise. His happiness is short lived as Jon is informed of a car accident Lucie suffered on a country road, where she was almost killed. To his amazement, Jon discovers the woman at the hospital is not his wife Lucie.

This television movie made for French television was shown recently on cable. It is an adaptation of the popular novels by Pierre Boileau and Thomas Narcejac with an adaptation by Antoine Lecomblez and under the direction of DenisMalleval. The screen treatment does not do justice to the original novel. The way it is presented it is confusing made even worst when Jon discovers his Lucie is not really her. Read the novel and let your imagination fly,
