SPOILER: Well, otherwise the events depicted may well have happened and Stockholm syndrome has become a scientific term... But the script is quite arid and uneven, and the movie is watchable thanks to John Cusack as Mike Fletcher and Dallas Roberts as Gary Gemeaux, above all; female performers were uninviting to me. As for the pre-ending twist, it seems rather improbable, considering the past and place of work of the woman in question; anyhow, it added some boost to the slow pace, leading to the very ending which could have been more sophisticated.
Nevertheless, it is okay for killing time, particularly if you like confrontations between a policeman and a hardened criminal and the disclosure of the latter at the early stage.
