Sightseers (2012)
6/10
Interesting plot twist
5 July 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This film is interesting in the way that it starts as a comedy, then progresses to a black comedy, and finally a thriller. However, the theme of death is evident throughout and the film only becomes more dark and sinister.

I felt like I couldn't take this film seriously because of the strong Birmingham accents that Tina and Chris both had, and I'm so used to to hearing it in real life that it felt odd watching a film with that accent in it. Tina started to become more like Chris, but I don't feel their characters were developed enough as we never found out why Chris was the way he was. Although we can see that Tina is becoming more brutal, I still didn't expect the twist ending.

I enjoyed this film because I was always eager to see what Chris would do next and whether he would kill another innocent person. Sightseers is funny at times, but I think the humour used in the film is for quite a niche market. I think Sightseers is definitely only a one-time watch film, but definitely worth seeing.
