"The Immigrant" is a 1917 silent short film directed by Charlie Chaplin.
Charlie Chaplin plays the Tramp as an immigrant on a boat headed to America, he meets some nice and suspicious people along the way. He doesn't have any money, so he gets into trouble when trying to impress a girl he met on the boat.
I thought it was pretty good, there are a couple funny scenes in it and its very fast paced. There was a scene I loved where a fish bites a man's nose. While its not one of Charlie Chaplin's best, which for me is "City Lights", for a short film its a very good one.
I'd recommend it to anyone who liked "The Kid", or "Sherlock Jr.".
