Father and Daughter is an interesting silent animation film. A little girl cycles with her father, and then he goes away by taking a boat. After that it is described her life as she waited for him. In spite of so many years passed, she waited him. The animation is simple, so the character's expression does not see at all. But the editor great express in easy terms. Especially the background music is splendidly. Plaintive sound matches with this movie very well. When I heard the music in the beginning of the film, I think it is a work of imaginative narrativity. It is really effective to attract an audience. I think it make an impact for movie that is can describe skillfully such a simple animation. This day speaking of animation, the mainstream is 3-D. However I watched this film, I find an attraction of plain 2-D animation. That is why it is valuable movie to watch.
