Warning: Spoilers
is Iggy Pop waiting for Tom Waits. This is the longest installment of Jim Jarmusch's Coffee & Cigarettes trilogy, the first to hit double digit minutes. And the recipe from the two previous editions works again. A nice setting and interesting dialog makes this one a winner. After a short introduction and slight discussion on with which nickname Iggy wants to be called by Waits, the pair sit down, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. Unspectecular every-day chatter ensues.

The highlight is when it comes to regular smoking and having stopped recently. What's the best thing about smoking? Now that he quit, he can have one. The film started with Iggy on his own and, shortly after, ends with Waits alone in the room. It's an amusing short-film and the formula stays successful. The B&W choice makes the whole thing soothing and I wonder if we will ever see a forth part. I do hope so. It's been a while.
