After being treated to recent fresh releases of Sherlock and Silent Witness, this 10 part Musketeer series started very flat and unengaging.
The constant background music does little to make it more exciting and several performances are woeful.
The action scenes lies awkwardly close to panto, with so much posturing and hair flicking by the 'look at me, see how handsome i am' musketeers.
The shooting is weak, with barely 5 or 6 words strung together in the same shot, before the camera jumps back and forth.
To be avoided.
