Once again...it's all about Dexter's ego, not justice
8 April 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This series has revealed itself for what it's really been about all along: a poorly written show about a schizophrenic psychopathic serial killer who kills innocents, wreaks havoc so he can do things the way HE wants to do things regardless of the consequences, and, who has forfeited any sympathy that might otherwise have possibly been afforded to him.

Similarly -- and a much bigger problem with this series -- there are simply no worthy protagonists for whom to cheer, with the possible exception of Debra.

Dexter absolutely deserves to die. (And I don't care HOW many apologist fan boys or girls generate endless reasons why he shouldn't die. They're as deluded as he is.)

Harry is a philandering, weak manipulator. (And his ongoing hallucinated presence in the show became a major annoyance and distraction.)

LaGuerta is undeserving.

Batista is somewhat likable but not in any significant sense.

Rita was loathsome.

Lumen was a sympathetic character but she's gone.

Quinn is despicable.

Masuka is funny at times but not enough to build a show around.

And the list goes on and on and on. Unfortunately.
