Movies involving a psycho chasing an innocent guy have been around since the very nineties, and I had my doubts that "Hush" could be somehow an addition to the genre. After some months of searching for the original DVD, I found it on a local website and bought it myself. One thing very peculiar about this film is how the chasing is made; in this case, the innocent man (Zakes) is who follows the lunatic, in order to save his (ex?)-girlfriend. From this point on, the movie reveals to be pretty original in many scenes and circumstances, supported by a professional cast. I just don't understand why English movies tend to portray themselves as rude people, but deep inside I'm positive they're not. The bad aspects about the picture is directing, which is too shaky in some scenes, and the over-the-top plan that the killer builds, which is hard to believe being done in real life. The last fifteen minutes work like a cat and mouse game, remembering some scenes of 2008's "The Strangers", which isn't particularly a problem, but a positive resemblance. Also, I consider it to be in the same level as 2001's "Joy Ride". All in all, this is a good movie, to be honest, and a reason why we should recognize some talent in British productions.
