An different episode, yet very predictable.

*SOME MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD*

"Slabtown" has the right Walking Dead feel in to it and the right amount of suspense and thrills to engage you. However, all of these things thrown into the episode feels accustomed, familiar and predictable.

The episode starts out slow and introduces us to a whole bunch of characters we have less knowledge of. We know this episode will waste time to develop these new characters and most importantly Beth. We know that Beth will realize that it won't be easy to trust the new surroundings around her. We know that walkers will come by sooner or later and will do something that will cause inconvenience to the main characters. All of these stuff piled in to one episode is very predictable unlike the past few episodes that opened up potential to a remarkable season. This episode falls short of giving us something unexpected and will entirely engage the audience to the episode until the very end. I do admit there are some well done scenes in the episode. Like the way they showed the walkers as Beth obliterates them were well shot and the visuals were great, and I think the episode did great on delivering its purpose which was to change Beth's character which I presume will be done for more characters in the following episodes. Yet even at it's obvious high points, the low points are more noticed. The episode was predictable, I didn't feel entirely engaged as the episode progressed. I was really expecting for more intense scenes, sure there were but they all felt way too predictable which killed the suspense. The episode was watchable in it's own right, but I wouldn't like to watch it for a second time or more.

So after the 3 excellent episodes that we were given, we might be going downhill after all. The episode wasn't really a terrible piece of trash like I said, it had it's high points, but the low points are more noticeable. -With a predictable plot, -Predictable scenes that killed the suspense, +Great development for Beth's character.

Verdict: 7.4/10
