Review of Slabtown

The Walking Dead: Slabtown (2014)
Season 5, Episode 4
7/10
Beth still not convincing
6 November 2014
I have been a WD fan from the very beginning and haven't missed a minute of every episode. I gradually got emotionally attached to several group members and felt very sad that we lost a lot of them down the line. Every time I watch Beth, however, I feel sorry for her that she seemingly doesn't have the natural talent to connect with multiple viewers. In earlier episodes I had the same weak connection with Carol. However Carol recently rose to the occasion and I really hoped that Beth would do the same. Damn, I even started to like Bob!.

Unfortunately it seemed like a deja-vu when watching Beth, the only thing missing was that she did not sing any tune in this episode! Overall this slow paced episode was enjoyable to watch and several scenes were top notch. I still believe that she could grow in her role, but I sense that she will meet her maker in the mid season finale. Nevertheless my overall score is a solid 7, because I liked the cliffhanger, zombie splattering and overall acting. The multiple stories developing throughout this season make me hungry for more. Keep up the good work WD team!
