I had heard some unenthusiastic responses on here, but I didn't imagine it to be this awful. At times it certainly hit it's-so-bad- it's-good levels, but it was just so... stupid to even enjoy it like that at times. Some of the dialogue is atrocious, the acting as well, but the script calls for it so it's hard to place too much blame on it. Still, Eva Green, wow. Was the film supposed to be emotionally effective? Was that last flashback/revelation supposed to be anything other than completely laughable?. I'm guessing so, considering the sad, sad score playing at the end. What a fail.
There are several moments in the film that are just there and not really awful or anything, but when it is it just makes you forget the mediocrity and dullness of those scenes completely and makes you remember and concentrate specifically on the awfulness.
Probably the second worst film I've seen this year, 2nd to Lucy. How both haven't gotten even worse reviews is baffling to me.
Oh, and Woodley is also just there. She brings nothing to it, certainly nothing to warrant a viewing just for her (like I stupidly did)
